Bringing Back The Forgotten Ones

Taking a quick look back at last season summer signings, our biggest and best signing was in fact resigning our very own youth product-Gerard Piqué.He was the cheapest but yet the most valuable signing(even more so than Alves). His impact and dedication to the club gave me the inspiration to take a look down memory lane and see which Canterano has a chance to return to their boyhood club and make a huge impact as Pique did in his return season. So for the next few days I will take a look at who has a chance of returning and being and asset instead of a burden.

First We Have:Fernando Navarro

A player who grew up in the capital of Barcelona,Catalonia and is no stranger to our beloved club. Now at age 27, he has spent many of his playing career in Spanish top flight football and is a talented Left Back who can play anyway along the back line. His time with Barca ran from 2000-2006 (includes Barca B and 1st team) until he was eventually loaned out to Albacete in 2004 and then Mallorca in 2005 where he was signed on a permanent deal.It was there he started to shine to the point where his future club Sevilla bought him for5 million.Since we are in the market for a quality Left Back,I certainly believe he can be a good back up to Abidal or even better.Considering that he only joined them just last year his price shouldn't have risen that much but with the way things have gone this transfer window you never know.He isn't a signing for the future like
Filipe Luis would be but I believe he can be a last resort if that transfer doesn't comes through.
