Iniesta Declared Fit After 100 Days(Click Here)

Iniesta Wearing The Holy Grail

After a 100 Day gap, Andres Inietsa was finally declared fit to be a part of the squad. This would surely bring a big relief to the squad and Pep. Barca is due to play 7 games in the next 22 days stating away at Getafe. The run-in includes crucial Champions League games against Inter and Dynamo. The inclusion of Iniesta will be a big boost considering the amazing season he had last year where he threatened to and at moments eclipsed even our own Messiah!

Andres Iniesta has been given the green light to return to action after spending the entire summer recuperating from an injury. Barcelona medics told the midfielder that he was fully fit after a round of tests on Wednesday morning saw him come through without any problems.

On May 10, Iniesta suffered a small tear in his thigh but he played through the pain to help the Blaugrana win the Champions League in Rome later that same month.
That encounter saw his condition worsen slightly and the Barca favourite has had to forego his summer holidays in order to regain his fitness.

As well as missing out on pre-season training, Iniesta was also unable to play for Spain in the Confederations Cup in June or the World Cup qualifiers that are taking place this week.
Barca have also been busy without their star as they have won the Supercopa de Espana against Athletic Club and claimed the UEFA Super Cup last month with victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in Monaco.

Iniesta will be named in Pep Guardiola’s squad for the game against Getafe at the weekend, but it is unlikely that he will start.

In a recent interiew:

I knew I would play injured and do more damage. For seventeen days all I thought about was the final in Rome and winning, even knowing that I would do more damage," he confessed.

The player insisted that he would do the same again, despite having been ruled out of action for three months.

"I'd repeat it, for sure. I love this club and my profession and I wanted to win. If we had lost [the final] that would have been a total disaster," Iniesta added.

The 25-year-old said he is glad to be over the "worst summer of his life," which saw the untimely death of his friend Dani Jarque, and he is now looking forward to
the season ahead.
