Preview: Racing Santander - Barcelona by Mega(Click Here)

Our Trophy Cabinet has never look better

Fresh of our 5-2 thrashing of Atletico, Barca return to action 2moro against a Racing Santander side who secured their first win of the season away to Malaga this past Saturday. This game is our 4th game of the month so we are likely to see a weakened/fatigued team. After this game we have a difficult away trip to Malaga then a home match in the Champions League against a tough Dynamo K side. By the end of this month our team would’ve played five games in 14 days after the 0-0 draw with Inter.

Racing Santander began the season with a 1-4 home defeat to Getafe but has just picked up four points with a 1-1 draw at Atletico Madrid and a 1-2 win at Malaga at the weekend. Their squad will be riding high right now and could make it very tricky for our boys.

Last season they drew 1-1 at the Camp Nou and lost 2-1 at home in February (a game in which I can remember all too well) Our lil Messiah came off the bench, with us being a goal behind, to grab a brace to win it.

Former youth team product Luis Garcia signed with them this summer and may push for a starting place in their lineup. Our defender Henrique is also on loan with them.

So basically their Starting XI may be-Tono – Sepsi, Morris, Henrique, Penillos – Arana, Diop, Lacen, Oscar Serrano – Garcia, Munitis.

Today Pep named his 19-man squad: Valdés, Pinto, Alves, Puyol, Piqué, Marquez, Chygrynskiy, Maxwell, Abidal, Busquets, Toure Yaya, Xavi, Keita, Iniesta, Pedro, Messi, Ibrahimovic, Henry, Jeffren.

With Yaya, Puyol and Abidal being rested on Saturday so they are likely to start 2moro. Reports indicate they Pique will be rested after being mashed upon by Aguero. ……………………………

So my Possible starting XI: Valdés; Alves, Puyol, Chygrynskiy, Abidal; Xavi, Toure, Keita; Messi, Ibrahimovic, Henry

Subs:Iniesta,Pedro,Marquez………

My prediction: Racing 1 Barça 4

So right now in the league every game is a must win game for us as Real Madrid is starting to gain while not playing all too well but I don’t think we need to worry about EE to much right now.1st of all they aren’t playing together as a team and mostly really on individual brilliance. 2nd they have some tough fixtures coming up in both league and champions league.

Once we win our games it should be smooth sailings for us but dropping points can’t happen as we would like to have a psychological edge before El Classico in November.

Recently both Pep and Cruff stated that Barca need to improve after the 5-2 win over Atletico Madrid on Saturday. So I am sure the team is ready to play and continue to produce the goods 2moro.
